Who are we?

The Minnesota Immunization Networking Initiative (MINI) is a unique local collaboration between Fairview Health Services and a number of community-based organizations.  The MINI Project continues to provide free annual flu and pneumonia shots thanks to the generous help provided by both nonprofit and for profit organizations, governmental agencies, the faith community, private and corporate donors and, of course, a lot of heart.

6,089 free influenza vaccinations and 199 pneumococcal vaccinations for age 65 and older were provided in the 2010-2011 season at 98 non-traditional sites.
Over 27,000 free influenza immunizations have been provided in the last five years.

2010-2011 Multi-secotor Partners include:
Fairview Health Services, Community Health, Pharmacy Services and Diversity Office
Homeland Healthcare Specialists, Inc.
Open Cities Healthcare Center in St. Paul
Minnesota Department of Health Department of Immunizations
Minnesota Office of Minority and Multicultural Health
St. Mary's Health Clinics
Stairstep Foundation
River Valley Nursing Center
American Indian Community Development Corporation
Faith based and community organizations

The MINI Project created policies and procedures that met the standards for the MDH Mark of Excellence (MOE) certification for community vaccinators.
